Just a link today, to a site that has some really good
recordings of the band Little Feat and their
great drummer Ritchie Hayward.
The recordings span the band's entire career and all
the different lineups of band members over the years.
If you've never listened, this is a good place to start.
If your already a fan you'll really enjoy some of the
shows that are available here.

The GRAMMIES
This week a few of my students wanted to learn
the song Uprising by THE MUSE after they heard
it on the Grammy awards show.
So here it is from beginning to end as
performed on the show.

Something Visual
Here are some rhythmic patterns
to get you moving around your drumset.
These add a little visual showmanship
to your drum fills or solos.
They have been around a long time and I've seen
Buddy Rich, Sonny Payne, Gene Krupa,
John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell and Thomas Lang
use them in their playing.
Don't forget to try these sticking patterns in
other rhythmic values besides the triplets
I've placed them in. Then find suitable
accompaniment with your feet for what
ever style of drumming you want to
use these in.
